It is amazing how those nine words are so easy to say, yet they hold an incredible amount of power if lived out successfully. I'll never forget the time I had to tell my "boss" that he needed to lead me from the heart. He was really good at leading from the head, but he was leaving so much on the table with me by not connecting with my heart.

By leading with the head we were very competent at producing together. As leaders in a sales organization we hit record highs. However, without capturing the attention of my heart, I knew my relationship with him and our sales success could not be sustained over the long haul.
