Matthew is the author of the critically acclaimed The Elegant Solution: Toyota's Formula for Mastering Innovation, which won the Shingo Research Prize for Excellence and most recently published, In Pursuit of Excellence. Matthew is a popular speaker, and lectures to corporations, governments, and universities around the world on excellence in innovation, and is currently Senior Lecturer on Creativity and Innovation at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Business. He spent nearly a decade in a key advisory role, as the Senior Advisor for the University of Toyota, and his articles have appeared in national publications such as USA Today and the Wall Street Journal. Matthew is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the Wharton School of Business. Matthew spent time with us discussing his time at Toyota, innovation, creativity, and elegance.
