Shelton was the chief architect of the military response to the September 11th terrorist attacks, and has served in numerous capacities for the army during the Vietnam and Persian Gulf Wars.

In this interview we talk to General Shelton about values-based leadership, his leadership in the 9/11 crisis, and his time as 14th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1997-2001.
