Leadership in Action: “Developing as a Leader”
Lesson Application
As John describes the opportunities for developing as a leader, I can't help but dive into the activities of how to get this done. First, let me warn you that I am very passionate (some might even say aggressive) at challenging myself and those around me to live out leadership. It is easy to fall into the trap of constantly listening and learning about leadership and not taking the next steps to live it out.
It is my intent to make us all a bit uncomfortable so we will challenge our leadership actions. I won't challenge our desire to learn and listen because that is easy to accomplish. I want to dig into the hard part of leadership - the actions and commitment it takes to pull it off on a day-by-day basis.
